Monday-Thursday | 34 hrs/week | Fridays Off | Summers Off Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC) Head Start Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable Teacher Assistant to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. If you love working with children and want to help create a positive, nurturing early learning environment, this is your opportunity to make a real difference. This role works as a part of a teaching team at our Hicksville Head Start classroom and includes assisting with driving a small school bus to help transport preschoolers safely. No CDL? No problem. NOCAC provides and pays for all CDL training (must be at least 21 years old).
Position Highlights:
Monday-Thursday daytime schedule (Fridays off) 34 hours per week Summers off Collaborate with teachers to support children ages 3-5 in their social, emotional, and educational development Help with student transportation by driving a small school bus (CDL training provided)
Pay:
$16.29/hour starting rate (with a high school diploma or GED) $17.86/hour after obtaining a CDL Higher wages available for candidates with a CDA or college degree

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (required) One year of experience in an early childhood education setting (preferred). Experience with preschool age children.
