Overview Join our Montessori early childhood education team as an Assistant Toddler Teacher for ages 18 months - 3yrs, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for our youngest learners. In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate activities, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with care and professionalism. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, napping, and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviors, and needs. Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or welfare Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills among children Skills Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid to ensure quick response during emergencies Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong classroom management skills to maintain a safe and structured environment Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to follow detailed instructions while demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with toddlers
