Description:
Under the supervision of the building principal, the school nurse and the head nurse selected candidate will perform delegated nursing services for students at assigned school(s).
Job Summary:
7.0 hours/day, 5 days/week, 195 days/year
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of college coursework OR an Associate's Degree or higher OR passage of the ParaPro Assessment One year of related successful work experience Strong interpersonal skills Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing with coursework related to nursing, or Permanent Certification in School Nursing CPR Certification LPN Certification Previous experience working with students with disabilities
