Little Rowdy Child care is a NAEYC accredited, DHS licensed child care center open to the public Monday to Friday 7-6.
Job Summary:
Assistant teachers are responsible for working with lead teachers in all aspects of the classroom. This includes lesson plans, assessments, learning activities, and the modeling of correct behavior. An assistant teacher will be able to adapt to changing conditions in the classrooms and assisting the needs of the children. Supports the delivery of high-quality early childhood education by assisting with classroom instruction, child supervision, daily care, and age-appropriate developmental activities. The position helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while ensuring compliance with NAEYC standards, Oklahoma DHS child care licensing regulations, university policies, and established program standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Assisting the teacher in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center's care. Help oversee and support the work of fellow teachers, interns, and student workers. Positive relationships with the families, community, staff, and faculty will be cultivated. Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson plans, as well as monitoring staff and children is preferred. Must be available during the childcare center operating hours.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED is required. Experience working in a child care center is required. CDA, is preferred CPR/1st Aid and ELCCT must be obtained within 30 days of hiring. Must clear full background and fingerprints prior to beginning position. Must be available during child care center hours. Annual salary $26,832.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
