This contract position offers the chance to make a significant difference in the academic and social journey of a student with autism, working closely in a school environment near Stillwater, OK. With a schedule of 35 hours per week, your commitment will extend from ASAP through May 2027, providing invaluable consistency and care throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting Demonstrated background working with students with autism Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Ability to adapt to individual student needs and learning styles Patience, empathy, and a passion for student development

Primary Responsibilities:

Offer one-on-one support to a 6th-grade student with autism during class and school activities Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and work alongside educators to foster academic growth Support behavior management and provide positive reinforcement Assist with transitions between classes and daily routines Encourage socialization and facilitate peer interactions where appropriate Communicate progress and observations with educators and parents as needed
