Job Description

Milton-Freewater Oregon is a multi-cultural community located in the northeast corner of the state within ten miles of Walla Walla Washington. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work in a cooperative, positive manner with students, staff, parents, and community. Ability to assist students in their understanding of instructional concepts. Ability to follow lesson plans and prepare teaching aids and materials. Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred Must be self-motivated and work well independently. GED or high school diploma required. Must be willing to assist students with toileting needs.
Complete ONE of the following:
Obtaining a passing score through an academic assessment (District will provide this assessment), OR 72 quarter credit hours at an institution of higher education.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
: Including, but not limited to, frequent standing, walking, sitting, grasping, bending, twisting, reaching and fine manipulation. Frequent keyboarding also required. Must be able to lift a maximum of 35 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
COMPENSATION
: Current salary range is $16.93 - $24.18 per hour (depending on level of experience and education). The Milton Freewater School district offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package that includes: District paid benefits with the public employee retirement system (PERS) Competitive medical, dental and vision coverage. 1% bonus for living in the Milton-Freewater School District area. (Available to those working a full school year)
