Job Description

Maybrook Hills Daycare, LLC is now seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Teacher. The Assistant Teacher supports the Teacher by assisting in creating a safe, happy and stimulating environment for the children within the center and helping the teacher with the planned activities for the day. The Assistant Teacher must possess excellent communication and listening skills and be able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment. She/he will assist in observations and documenting progress of the children to relay information to the teacher. The assistant will help to implement activities under the direction and supervision of the teacher. This position reports directly to the teacher of the classroom she/he is assigned. This is a great way to gain experience in an Early Childhood Care environment, with an opportunity to grow and gain positive professional development.
Job Description:
Includes but is not limited to: Assisting in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate weekly lesson plans Assisting in developing and implementing daily activities to provide children with a variety of experiences and opportunities that allow development of curiosity, initiative, problem solving skills and creativity, as well as, a sense of self and a feeling of belonging to the group. Maintaining accurate, complete, and timely reports Ensuring facility is safe in accordance with child care laws and regulations Daily communication with parents Willing to continue professional development
Requirements:
At least 2 years experience working with children CDA preferred but not required Up to date Clearances (within the last five years)• National Sex Offender Registry Verification Act 34 State Police Criminal Record Check Act 151 Child Abuse History Clearance Act 114 Federal Criminal History Record Check with Fingerprints Mandated Reporter Training within the last five years• 2 Non-family, written letters of recommendation Will assist in obtaining clearances if needed We offer you full support, a steady income, and unlimited opportunity.
