Paraeducator Schedule:
Full-Time, School Hours (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Hours:
7 paid hours per day (7.5-hour shift with 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Competitive and negotiable based on experience (up to district pay cap) Job Overview We are seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) / Paraeducators to support students. This role involves working one-on-one with students to provide behavioral, academic, and daily living support in a classroom setting. Candidates should be comfortable assisting students with special needs, including those with behavioral challenges and physical disabilities. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support to students in academic and behavioral areas Assist with implementing educational programs directed by teachers and case managers Support students with daily living activities, including feeding, toileting, hygiene, and positioning Monitor and manage student behavior in accordance with established guidelines Assist with physical activities, motor skills development, and use of adaptive equipment Support student participation in classroom and social interactions Maintain a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff Assist in tracking student progress and maintaining records Attend required training, including medical and behavioral interventions Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children or in a caregiving role (any age) required Preferred experience in: Special Education Autism Support Behavioral or Mental Health Ability to work with students who may have challenging behaviors CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain prior to start) Clearance & Credential Requirements (Required prior to start) PA Child Abuse Clearance PA Criminal Background Check FBI Fingerprint Clearance TB Test Results Proof of Education (Diploma or Transcripts) Work Environment School-based setting within the T/E School District Placement may vary across schools depending on need Example location: Valley Forge Elementary School (VFES) Interview Process One in-person interview (approximately 15 minutes) Quick turnaround from interview to offer If you're looking for a meaningful role supporting students and making a daily impact in a school setting, we encourage you to apply!
