Job Description
The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking caring, dependable, and compassionate individuals to serve as Personal Care Paraprofessionals. These are full-time, 10-month positions which include paid time off (personal and sick days) and are eligible for full benefits (medical, prescription, dental, and vision). These positions are available immediately. Teacher certification is not required, however it is preferred for this position. Building and Hours
South Elementary:
8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Skippack Elementary:
8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Purpose of Position
Personal Care Paraprofessionals provide direct support to students with personal care and daily living needs, including toileting, hygiene, dressing, feeding, mobility, and other activities of daily living, while also supporting students' participation in the educational environment. Personal Care Paraprofessionals work closely with teachers, school nurses, related service providers, and other staff to ensure students receive appropriate support while maintaining their dignity, privacy, independence, health, and safety. The successful candidate will demonstrate patience, professionalism, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
Terms of Employment
Full-time (7.5 hours/day); 10 months Compensation
The starting hourly rate for thess positions are $22.00 in accordance with terms of the Perkiomen Valley Educational Support Personnel Association Collective Bargaining Agreement
