08/04/2026 The Dallastown Area School District is seeking a Learning Support Teacher for one of our Elementary Schools (Grades K-3) who will emulate our dedication to excellence and vision of inspiring and creating pathways for student success.
JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the success and growth of students in academic and functional skills. Specific educational needs of individual students will be addressed, while creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the abilities of students. Serve as case manager for students with IEPs. Advocate for student supports and services. May provide direct instruction to students with IEPs. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of established District curriculum goals and objectives. Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, while modifying instructional methods to fit individual students' needs. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including current technology and whole group/small group learning. Effectively communicate and collaborate with administration, staff members and parents in providing feedback regarding student progress, expectations and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS PA
Instructional I or II Teaching Certificate:
Special Education PK-12 (9231) OR, Special Education PK-8 (9226) Willingness to be flexible in terms of teaching assignment within the school setting Completion of all mandated pre-employment documents Dallastown Area School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
