A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

You may qualify if you have any one of the following : A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or Elementary Education, or a human services-related field from an accredited college or university OR At least 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in one of those fields plus 1 year of professional experience working with children. OR At least 2 years of professional experience working with children

Preschool Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:
Curriculum Support:
Collaborate with Lead Teachers to implement Goddard's play-based curriculum and daily lesson plans.
Developmental Support:
Foster emerging self-help skills (handwashing, potty training, and feeding) through intentional teaching moments.
Classroom Management:
Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment
Observation & Collaboration:
Assist in documenting child progress and collaborating with faculty to ensure individual learning success.
Leadership Support:
Coordinate daily activities and supervise aides in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
Professionalism:
Build meaningful, professional relationships with families through respectful and clear communication.
Job Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED (minimum). Eligible to obtain and maintain all required Pennsylvania child care background eligibility and health assessment documentation.
