Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning, promote positive behavior, and ensure every child's individual needs are met. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood education while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play. Provide attentive child supervision to ensure safety at all times, adhering to childcare best practices and educational compliance regulations. Foster inclusive learning environments by working with children of diverse abilities, including those with disabilities or autism, utilizing strategies from special education and behavior management. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build strong home-school connections. Utilize educational technologies such as computers and interactive learning tools to enhance classroom engagement. Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to monitor individual student needs, document progress, and support classroom behavior management strategies. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom behavior management techniques. Familiarity with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards and educational compliance requirements. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to maintain a safe environment through child supervision and first aid/CPR certification. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus. Proficiency with computers and educational technologies to support learning activities. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teachers on lesson planning, mentoring new staff, and supporting classroom routines. Join us in shaping the future by inspiring young minds! Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
