STS is now hiring entry-level elementary paraprofessionals at Blue Ball Elementary school within Eastern Lancaster School District for the 2026-2027 school year
Pay & Schedule Pay:
$16.15 per hour
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Schedule:
Follows the Eastern Lancaster School District school calendar Position Overview As an Entry-Level Elementary Paraprofessional, you will work alongside teachers and school staff to create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. You will help students build confidence, develop essential life skills, and achieve greater independence throughout their school day. Paraprofessionals in this program support students whose needs focus more on functional, daily-living, and independence skills than on traditional academics. It emphasizes practical instruction like self-care, communication, social skills, as well as functional reading and math. The overall goal is to help students gain as much independence as possible for school and everyday life. This position may require assistance with personal care needs and/or physical behaviors. Responsibilities Support students throughout the school day under the direction of the classroom teacher. Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and daily routines. Encourage positive social interactions and appropriate classroom behavior. Help students develop communication, self-care, and independence skills. Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed. Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment. Follow school policies and student support plans. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Passion for working with children and supporting student success. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain patient, flexible, and dependable in a classroom environment. Ability to meet district hiring requirements, including background clearances.
