In this dynamic role, you will support the development and safety of children by facilitating engaging activities, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a positive environment for youth to learn and grow. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in youth development and education. Duties Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead and facilitate a variety of youth activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational lessons Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and respectful interactions among children Support classroom management by maintaining organized activity areas and assisting with transitions between activities Assist with homework help, tutoring, or academic support tailored to individual student needs Enforce safety protocols such as first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans when necessary Collaborate with team members to plan engaging programs that foster youth development and social skills Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns Experience Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Experience facilitating youth group activities or leading recreational programs is advantageous Certifications such as first aid, CPR, AED operation, or related safety training are required Background clearances Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments and lead group activities with enthusiasm Background in special education or working with children with diverse needs is a plus Outdoor work experience or familiarity with outdoor youth programs can enhance your application This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about supporting children's growth in a safe, fun-filled environment.
