Job Description
The Pre-K Counts Aide supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children enrolled in the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program. The Aide assists with classroom instruction, supervision, daily routines, transitions, documentation, family engagement activities, and implementation of the approved curriculum. ssential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, learning activities, small-group activities, and individualized learning opportunities. Support implementation of the approved Pre-K Counts curriculum and Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, displays, and activities under the direction of the Lead Teacher. Actively participate with children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, transitions, and other parts of the daily schedule. Provide active supervision at all times , including completing appropriate head counts, face-to-name counts, and attendance checks during transitions and throughout the day. Qualifications The employee must meet all applicable qualification requirements established by the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program, Pennsylvania Department of Education, DHS child-care regulations, and Kids Connection Learning Center. Minimum of CDA (Preschool) Bachelors degree (preferred) 3 years experience working in a Prek Counts classroom Kids Connection is an equal opportunity employer.
