This role is located onsite and offers the chance to make a significant impact, working closely with a dedicated team of instructional assistants and educators. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 18, 2027, providing continuity and a stable schedule of 31.25 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school setting preferred Eligibility to work as a paraprofessional under Rhode Island Department of Education regulations Comfortable assisting students with varying needs, including toileting and changing Ability to effectively collaborate with a team of teaching assistants in a group-focused classroom Supportive, compassionate attitude with a commitment to student growth and well-being

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in a K-3rd grade intensive classroom with 11 students who have diverse disabilities, including language-based and Autism Spectrum Disorders Work collaboratively with six other teaching assistants rotating duties throughout the day Provide direct support to students during lessons, activities, and transitions Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and adapt to students' individual needs Support students with personal care needs as required Help implement instructional programs and track student progress in partnership with certified staff This position offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with young learners and to develop valuable skills as part of a nurturing, highly coordinated classroom team.
