This role assists lead teachers with daily routines, classroom activities, and supervision while helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and passionate about early childhood education and supporting children at all developmental stages. Support lead teachers across multiple classrooms (infants & toddlers) as needed Assist with age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Help maintain positive classroom behavior and daily routines Provide attentive care, supervision, and support during transitions, meals, rest time, and play Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment Communicate effectively with teaching staff and families when appropriate Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations Qualifications Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early learning setting preferred Basic understanding of child development and classroom routines Experience supporting children with special needs is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexible, dependable, and willing to work across age groups CPR/First Aid Must be at least 18 years old Physical Requirements Must be able to perform the essential physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Sit, kneel, bend, and work at floor level with children. Safely lift and carry children up to 40 lbs. Frequently transition between sitting, standing, and walking. Move quickly in response to children's needs or safety concerns. Participate in indoor and outdoor activities. Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other care routines as needed.
