Rates:
Teachers:
$145/day
Teacher Assistants:
$105/day
Substitute Teaching:
Day to day subs are needed. We do not have any long term positions available at the moment.
A DEGREE IN ANY MAJOR OR TEACHER CERTIFICATION QUALIFIES YOU TO SUBSTITUTE TEACH.
Also, RI Department of Education is also allowing day to day subs with• An associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university; or a minimum of two years college completion on track to a four year degree.
Substitute Teacher Assistant:
You are eligible to substitute as a Teacher Assistant if you•1) Have a minimum of 2 years of college or 2) Have a high school diploma/GED and a Certificate of Completion of an approved RI Dept. of Education Teacher Assistant Training Program, (the training may be waived by the superintendent based on previous experience working with children) You will need a letter from us to take to your police station or attorney general's office to obtain a fingerprint background check.
