In this contract role, you'll collaborate with dedicated educators, using your American Sign Language proficiency to ensure students who are deaf or hard of hearing have full access to classroom instruction and activities. Key Qualifications & Experience:

Fluent in American Sign Language with the ability to interpret and facilitate communication Relevant credentials and/or certifications in ASL or interpreting services required Previous experience working with children or in a school setting, especially within diverse populations, is preferred Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt communication strategies to different age groups Strong organizational skills and a team-focused attitude

Primary Responsibilities:

Offer one-on-one or small-group ASL interpretation services for students across grade levels (K-12) Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to support individualized education plans Assist students with daily classroom activities, promoting engagement and participation Facilitate communication between students and staff, ensuring clarity and inclusion during lessons and school events Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and adhere to school policies and confidentiality protocols In this role, youll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
