In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment for young children. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development and learning. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene in accordance with health and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships. Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of children in accordance with legal requirements. Support classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and social skills development. Requirements At least 18 yrs of age and HS diploma Prior experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, nannying, babysitting, or similar setting is preferred. Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members while maintaining professionalism. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Classroom management skills combined with patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
