Duties Assist teachers in delivering tailored instruction aligned with students' IEP goals, including literacy education, math, and early childhood development activities Support students with disabilities by providing physical assistance, behavioral management strategies, and classroom support in accordance with best practices and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct and social skills among students with behavioral disorders or autism spectrum disorders Use communication skills such as American Sign Language or other augmentative communication methods to facilitate effective interaction with students Prepare instructional materials, assist in lesson planning, and support classroom activities that foster inclusive learning environments Maintain confidentiality of student information and handle sensitive data responsibly Collaborate regularly with teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to support student progress and adapt strategies as needed Experience Prior classroom experience supporting children or students with special needs in a school or childcare setting Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and developmental delays Familiarity with behavior management techniques for students with behavioral challenges or emotional disturbances Proficiency in basic math and literacy skills to assist in instructional activities Experience working with students using alternative communication methods such as American Sign Language or other augmentative tools Background in classroom management within special education environments or private school settings is preferred Join us in creating a supportive learning space where every child's potential is unlocked!
