Immediately Job Description Qualified applicant must have minimum of high school or general equivalency diploma (GED). Post-secondary education is preferred. The successful candidate will work under the directive of the Special Ed teacher to which he/she is assigned and will follow all IEP goals and EA guidelines set forth by Wilson County Schools. Additional training may be required and will be provided, if necessary. This is a 180-day position with insurance and retirement benefits. Employees are scheduled and expected to work 7.5 hours per day, starting before students arrive and leaving after students have been dismissed. Pay rate will be determined by education completed, experience, and placement on the Hourly Classified Salary Schedule. For applicants with less than a 2-year degree (or coursework equivalent), the appropriate grade is Grade 1. For those with at least 2-year degree (or coursework equivalent), the appropriate grade is Grade 3. Starting rate of pay will be no less than $14.47 per hour for Grade 1 or $14.80 for Grade 3.
