Job Title:
Special Education Teacher Job Summary:
As a Special Education Teacher at our school, you will be an integral part of our team, dedicated to providing specialized instruction and support to students with developmental disabilities. Your role will involve implementing individualized education plans, utilizing innovative teaching methods, and fostering a positive learning environment for our students.
Responsibilities:
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance teaching strategies and engage students effectively.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs.
  • Provide childcare and support to students with developmental disabilities in a nurturing and inclusive setting.
  • Implement early intervention techniques to address learning challenges promptly.
  • Deliver instruction on various subjects, with a focus on early childhood education and literacy development.
  • Create and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of students with developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with students, parents, and specialists to support student growth and progress.
  • Employ effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • State certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities.
  • Proficiency in curriculum development for special education programs.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective learning methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student success.
  • Demonstrated skills in behavior management and creating inclusive learning environments.
