Job Description

KITE Academy is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and energetic Paraprofessional to join our educational team. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers and specialized staff to support students in reaching their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral goals. We welcome candidates with a passion for helping children thrive and strongly prefer individuals with experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or positive behavior support strategies.
Key Responsibilities Instructional Support:
Assist lead teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), facilitating small group learning, and providing one-on-one academic assistance.
Behavioral Support:
Implement behavior support plans and positive reinforcement techniques (ABA experience utilized daily) under the guidance of lead teachers and specialists.
Classroom Management:
Help maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment tailored to varied student needs.
Student Supervision:
Monitor students during classroom activities, transitions, snacks, and arrival/dismissal.
Progress Tracking:
Collect daily data on student behavior, skill acquisition, and academic goals.
Personal Care:
Assist with physical mobility or self-care tasks as needed based on individual student support plans.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's degree or relevant coursework preferred).
Experience:
Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or clinical setting required. ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) experience preferred (RBT training or behavioral therapy experience is a major plus).
Skills & Attributes:
High level of patience, empathy, and adaptability. Strong communication skills and ability to collect accurate behavioral data. Comfortable working with students who have diverse learning and behavioral needs.
Background Check:
Must pass required state background checks and fingerprinting.

Fixed Hours:
8:15 AM•12:45 PM, Monday through Friday Benefits (Customize as applicable) Paid Time Off (PTO)
