Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a genuine difference in a young student's educational journey by providing vital support as a paraprofessional in a school setting. This contract opportunity allows you to utilize your skills and compassion to assist one-on-one with a 2nd grade student, while also working closely with a BCBA. Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or classroom assistant, particularly with elementary-aged children Familiarity with supporting students with unique learning or behavioral needs is a plus Ability to effectively follow behavioral plans and collaborate with a BCBA Strong communication skills to interact with educational staff, the student, and family as needed Patience, empathy, and adaptability working in a school environment
Role Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated, individualized assistance to a 2nd grade student during scheduled sessions Collaborate closely with the BCBA to reinforce positive behavioral strategies Help implement daily tasks and maintain a supportive learning environment Monitor and document student's progress and behavior according to guidelines Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to help the student achieve their educational goals This assignment consists of 12 sessions, scheduled Wednesdays from 4:15 PM to 4:45 PM, with a start as soon as possible and extending through May 21, 2027.
