Job Overview Join our vibrant arts education team as a Dance Instructor Assistant, where your enthusiasm for dance and creative arts will inspire young learners and community members alike. In this paid role, you will support lead instructors in delivering engaging dance classes, assist with choreography, and help create a positive, energetic environment that fosters growth and confidence. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to develop your teaching skills while sharing your love of dance and performing arts. Responsibilities Assist lead dance instructors in preparing lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with curriculum development standards. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for students during dance classes and rehearsals. Help demonstrate dance techniques, movements, and choreography to students, ensuring clarity and engagement. Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning, provide feedback, and encourage participation. Aid in organizing performances, rehearsals, and special events that showcase student progress in dance and performing arts. Contribute to the development of creative arts activities that integrate music, theater, and visual arts to enrich the curriculum. Support administrative tasks such as tracking attendance, preparing materials, and maintaining classroom supplies. Qualifications Preferred but not required background in dance instruction, choreography, or performing arts education. Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to various age groups.- Entry Level accepted Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment. Familiarity with teaching visual & performing arts, including theater or musical instruments is a plus. Passion for creative arts instruction with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working with diverse learners.
