Primary Purpose:
Perform the duties of the job position in which subbing and as assigned by the Principal/Supervisor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform duties of the job position. Notify the school office of any serious problems. Follow as closely as practical the schedule of the job. Complete tasks left for you by staff and or professional in charge. Record information for the returning employee. Abide by the Substitute Handbook. Complete the duties and tasks of the absent employee. Report on time, report for any assigned duty, work through the end of stated sub hours.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, copier, fax machine and printer. You may need to be able to use specialized equipment related to students with assistive technology.
Working Conditions:
Physical demands/Environmental factors: May require standing for long periods of time. Frequent stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment. May be exposed to biohazards. May require lifting, pushing, pulling up to 30 pounds. Mental demands
  • ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); ability to follow instructions; maintain emotional control under stress.
