Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and attentive Infant Teacher Assistant to support our lead teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants . The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development, patience, and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily routines and age-appropriate activities Provide attentive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment Observe and respond to each child's individual needs and developmental stages Support infants in reaching developmental milestones through play and interaction Communicate effectively with lead teachers and parents regarding children's daily activities Follow all childcare center policies, licensing regulations, and health/safety guidelines Assist with sanitizing toys, equipment, and classroom areas regularly
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with infants or in a childcare setting (preferred) Basic understanding of infant development and care practices CPR and First Aid certification (Required) Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and engage in physical activity (e.g., bending, sitting on floor) Strong communication and teamwork skills Patient, nurturing, and dependable personality
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a licensed childcare center
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, interactive childcare setting Requires constant supervision of children May involve exposure to bodily fluids, cleaning supplies, and varying noise levels
