Job Description

Hourly wage: $16 - $19 / hr

Scope:

10 - 15 hours per week

•

Note:

This is a grant funded position. Funds for the position run through May 2027.

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Communities that Care (CTC) program assistant assists in planning, organizing, and building community support for the Pleasant Grove Communities that Care (CTC) program. This is a visible position in the community and interacts with key community leaders, agencies, volunteers, and stakeholders. Under the direction of the Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator, the program assistant aids in the implementation of the programs and initiatives.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

Meets with community leaders and stakeholders to promote city-wide buy in for the Communities that Care program. Assists with activities to engage the community in the Communities that Care program. Gives public and group presentations. Prepares content to generate social media posts and other marketing materials. Communicates with volunteers. Assists the Community Board in developing short-term program strategies and goals. Assists with Community Board meeting preparation and follow up. May attend monthly coalition meetings and support the initiative. Perform administrative tasks such as running errands, responding to emails, ordering food and supplies, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

Working in a team environment

Knowledge:

Knowledge of community engagement techniques. Knowledge of basic principles of Prevention Science.

Skills/Abilities:

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and basic computer application. Ability to organize, file, document, and maintain accurate records Skills in interpersonal relations and public speaking

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions may vary Work is performed in different environments such as outside, in an air-conditioned office, in a third-party place of business. May need to work nights and/or weekends. No significantly hazardous conditions exist
