We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated teacher assistant to support our mission of providing whole child education to all of our students.

Responsibilities:

Collaborating with teachers, parents, and students, delivering instruction as needed, supervising outdoor recess, taking direction from the lead teacher. Classroom assistants are required to spend time indoors and outdoors in all weather as Waldorf schools encourage ample daily outdoor time. Regularly able to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students ensuring their academic and social-emotional success. Assist in the development and implementation of classroom activities that align with Waldorf education principles. Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and performance, maintaining accurate records and reporting to appropriate staff. Utilize positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to support student learning and development. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, empathy, and cooperation among all students.

Qualifications:

Minimum of high school diploma is required Experience working with children preferably in an educational setting. Understanding and appreciation of Waldorf education principles and methodologies. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of students. Ability to adapt and respond to the unique challenges and needs of each student. Pay:

$15.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
