Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Part-Time Daycare Assistant/Teacher! This position is for 10-15 hours a week and requires someone with a flexible schedule who could also be on call for emergencies. Kingdom Kids Daycare is a ministry of The Worship Center church in Leesburg Virginia. We do require that all our employees be Christian and active church goers who will sign an agreement with our statement of beliefs. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support classroom management by organizing activities that promote developmental milestones in areas such as social skills, motor skills, and early literacy Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and early learning standards Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and safety Follow mandated reporting laws and procedures to ensure compliance with child protection regulations Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, responding promptly to any minor injuries or health concerns Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development instruction and classroom management techniques Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required or willing to be obtained upon hire Familiarity with early childhood education principles, toddler care, infant care, and behavior management strategies Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children of various ages Previous experience in daycare center or preschool environments will support success in this role CPR & First Aid certification This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education who want to contribute positively to young learners' growth.
