Join Our Nature-Inspired Preschool Team! Woodlands Day School is looking for a warm, creative early childhood assistant to support a small, play-based classroom for ages 2-5. Our teachers spend their days outdoors exploring, creating, and connecting — with the flexibility and support of a small, family-oriented program. Position Overview As a Full Time Assistant Teacher/Floater, you'll work alongside lead educators to create a welcoming, engaging, and safe learning environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys being part of a collaborative, child-centered teaching team and is willing to learn and grow. Key Responsibilities Engage positively with children during play, exploration, and learning experiences Help prepare materials, set up learning environments, and clean up during the day Support children with transitions, snack/lunch time, and toileting needs as needed Provide gentle guidance and encouragement to support positive behavior and social skills Maintain a safe and organized classroom and meal space with middle and end of day cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting the classroom Build caring relationships with children and communicate respectfully with families
