Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare/Certified Preschool Teacher/Assistant to join our nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience in classroom management and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. This role is essential in supporting the growth and development of young children, ensuring their safety, and providing engaging educational experiences. We also offer five paid holidays per year and generous PTO. Responsibilities Follow the Experience curriculum, create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning. Supervise and engage with children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management techniques. Assist with daily routines including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom setting that encourages exploration and learning. Support children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities to meet their individual requirements. Experience Previous experience working in daycare or preschool settings is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Experience with classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly environment. Familiarity with first aid practices; certification is a plus. Background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial. Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
