Job Description

Class/Bus Aide Head Start OCCDA has 60+ year legacy as an early learning program that strives to make a difference in our community by supporting children and families. We work to promote family success and improve kindergarten readiness for children. As a staff member you will have opportunities to grow as an individual and professionally and support our philosophy of parents as the primary educator of their children.
About the position:
To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare. Also to assist the bus driver in providing safe and punctual transportation to and from classroom sites. Observing and monitoring behavior of children, interacting with parents and staff to promote the well being of children.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma Valid WA State Driver's License Bilingual/Spanish, preferred
Details:
38 hrs per week for 42 weeks per year Wage is $18.28 per hour for qualified applicant Assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities.
