9669585-98374 Job Description Step into a rewarding, part-time contract role supporting students in a vibrant elementary school setting as an American Sign Language (ASL) paraprofessional. This position offers the chance to work closely with 1st through 3rd grade students, providing valuable assistance in a classroom environment dedicated to inclusive learning. The weekly schedule features consistent afternoon hoursMonday through Thursday, 12:00 to 3:15 pm, and Fridays, 12:00 to 2:00 pmfor a total of 15 hours each week. Ideal candidates are fluent in American Sign Language and have a passion for helping young learners grow and succeed.
Key Qualifications:
Fluency in American Sign Language is required Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a classroom or paraprofessional setting Team-oriented approach and strong communication skills Ability to assist with classroom tasks while supporting students educational and social development Ready to start as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year
Responsibilities:
Assist teaching staff with instructional and support tasks in a 1st to 3rd grade classroom Foster an accessible, engaging learning environment for students who use ASL Provide one-on-one or small group support to ensure student comprehension and participation Help implement individualized educational strategies Aid with classroom organization and daily routines This role is compensated at a rate of $20 to $27 per hour, based on background and experience.
