In this role, you will collaborate closely with lead teachers to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, support classroom activities, and foster a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and growth. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing engaging lesson plans aligned with preschool curricula, including literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and motor development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment. Provide attentive childcare by supervising children during activities, free play, meals, rest periods, and outdoor time. Implement classroom routines and activities that promote childhood development and foster independence among students. Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional strategies for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements such as autism. Support communication with parents through daily updates and participate in team meetings focused on curriculum development and student progress. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the classroom to ensure a healthy learning environment for all children. Experience Prior experience working with young children in educational settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods. Experience assisting with lesson planning across various subjects including literacy education, math, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior support strategies to foster positive interactions among students. Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a strong plus. Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, parents, and caregivers to support student success. Technical proficiency in educational tools or curriculum development software is advantageous but not required.
