Job Description

Renewal Unlimited is seeking a Center Assistant for our Head Start classroom in Adams. This team-oriented position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during the school year from mid-August into mid-June.
Key Responsibilities:
Works with Teacher & Teacher Assistant to create a nurturing environment for young children. Assists in planning & implementation Rides the bus in the morning (6:45 a.m.) and afternoon (2:45 p.m.) Communicate messages from parents to the teacher Assists in keeping the center clean & sanitized Assists with diapering & maintaining Health & Safety rules Eats with the children, encouraging healthy eating & social interactions Follows WI Daycare Licensing rules & Head Start Standards Available Monday thru Friday.
Hours:
The site is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The workday begins around 6:45 a.m. to accommodate the morning bus route. Given variations in the bus schedule, employees must maintain flexible hours to ensure their total work time does not exceed 40 hours per week. The children are in attendance Monday through Thursday. Friday is a working day for the staff.
Qualifications:
Completion of the Introduction to the Child Care Profession Course or agreement to complete this course within 6 months of hire. In addition, completion of the Skills and Strategies Course for Child Care Teachers gives a higher degree of consideration. Experience working in a licensed childcare setting may also be given preference. Ability to provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for young children. Ability to communicate effectively with children, family members, other staff, and management in a positive, professional manner. Ability to respond positively to work direction and guidance from others. Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks within a child care setting. Is able to maintain confidentiality 100% of the time.

Job Type:
