Job Overview Join our vibrant after-school program team as an After-School Program Assistant! In this dynamic role, you will be a key contributor to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children and youth. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster positive development, encourage teamwork, and inspire young minds through fun, educational activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in youth development, childcare, and educational support. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Provide one on one support for children with homework and independent reading. Facilitate engaging youth group activities, including games, arts and crafts, sports, and educational projects Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques Assist with homework help and tutoring sessions to support academic growth Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play while adhering to safety standards Prepare curriculum materials for classrooms for the next day, which could include photocopying, cutting and organizing supplies. Assist with PM meal service, and cleaning of kitchen Possible van rider for after school if needed Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth Hours are Monday through Friday 130pm to 8pm
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 34.0 per weekBenefits:
