Job Description

Position A 4K Aide (Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Assistant) supports the lead teacher in managing a classroom of 4-year-old children, helping young learners develop early academic, social, and motor skills through play and guided instruction.
Instructional Support:
Assist teachers with small-group activities, individual learning stations, and basic skill reinforcement.
Student Supervision:
Monitor children safely during indoor play, outdoor recess, transitions, and meals or snacks.
Personal & Health Care:
Help children with daily habits, including handwashing, resting time, and bathroom assistance or toileting.
Classroom Management:
Prepare learning materials, organize supplies, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Behavioral Guidance:
Model positive behavior, encourage social-emotional growth, and help children resolve conflicts.
Qualifications/Expectations:
The ideal candidate will bring in a variety of skills and meet the following requirements or expectations:
Education:
High school diploma and/or Early Childhood Courses/Associates Degree Preferred.
Certifications:
First Aid and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hiring).
Hours:
30-35 hours per week, typical weekly schedule is M-F 8:30am-3:30pm

Therese Note:
In accordance with the safe environment policies of the Diocese of La Crosse, a criminal background check including fingerprints will be conducted on final candidate.

$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
