Job Description
We are looking for someone who has experience and is passionate about supporting students who struggle with their emotions and behaviors, and celebrating successes when students show improvement to work in our Safe Harbor Space. This space is a mindful & behavioral regulation rooms that is available to all 4K - 2nd grade students. Responsibilities include assisting students with acquiring and utilizing self-regulation skills, supporting students' emotional regulation and academics, and collaborating with teachers and staff in developing plans that advocate for student success. The best part about this position is getting to know students and their interests' nurturing positive relationships with them, and participating in celebration breaks when they meet their goals (which could be playing games, reading, creating art and crafts projects). Staff members who support our students in this way follow a specific structure and get consistent support from our school counselor and principal.
