Role:
Lasting Impressions Child Development Center in Clarksburg, WV is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our Infant/Toddler classroom! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the most formative years of a child's life while growing your career in early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and age-appropriate play activities Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth Maintain accurate daily logs and communicate updates to parents and guardians Ensure classroom cleanliness and adherence to health and safety protocols Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members Follow all licensing regulations and childcare center policies
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or educational setting is a plus Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and sitting on the floor Must pass a background check and meet WV childcare licensing requirements CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
