Role:
Lasting Impressions Child Development Center in Clarksburg, WV is looking for a warm, energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our passionate early childhood team! In this role, you'll help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where little ones can grow, explore, and thrive. If you love working with toddlers and making a lasting impact on young lives, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities:
Assist lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities for toddlers Supervise and engage children during play, meals, and rest times to ensure safety and well-being Support toddlers with daily routines including diapering, potty training, and hand washing Foster social-emotional development through positive interactions and nurturing guidance Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment Communicate daily observations and milestones with parents and guardians Collaborate with classroom team to support each child's individual developmental needs
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Prior experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare setting is a plus Knowledge of or willingness to learn developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) Ability to obtain or current CPR and First Aid certification Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children Strong communication and teamwork skills Must pass required background checks per West Virginia childcare regulations
