SUMMARY :
Provides office clerical support to assigned school site, including answering phones; checking-in visitors; preparing, distributing, and filing documents/records; maintaining inventory of supplies; monitoring students; and administering prescribed medication, first aid, and medical assistance to students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Answers telephone, screens calls, responds to inquiries, takes messages, and/or transfers caller to requested individual. D 10% 2. Maintains a secure school and office by greeting, checking-in, and verifying visitors, guests, and parents/guardians. D 10% 3. Prepares standardized documents such as form letters, memos, calendars, bulletins, etc. and distributes materials, documents, checks, supplies, messages, etc. to building staff. D 10% 4. Assists with office processes including attendance, enrollments, etc. D 10% 5. Maintains manual and electronic files and records. Perform copying and purging of files/records as required. D 10% 6. Maintains inventory of office supplies, forms, and materials to ensure availability of items. D 10% 7. Monitors and supervises students referred to the office for illness or disciplinary action, as well as in a variety of other settings, including classroom, playground, field trips, library, lunchroom, bus loading/unloading, etc. Implements various levels of discipline in accordance with school district and building policies for the purpose of ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. Models conversations, manners, active listening, organizational skills, problem solving strategies, and everyday interaction to demonstrate appropriate social behavior in a culturally sensitive manner. D 10% 8. Administers prescribed medication, first aid, and medical assistance to students as instructed by a certified school nurse for the purpose of meeting students' health care needs and ensuring student body health. D 10% 9. Responds to emergency situations (e.g. injured student, fights, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution. D 10% 10. Participates in training, in-services, and meetings and learns current and new technologies, medical information, regulations, policies, etc. as deemed appropriate. W 5% 11. EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
: High school diploma or equivalent No experience required Experience working with school age children preferred LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE
