Position Summary Gathered by Faith is looking for dependable, patient, and encouraging Tutors to join our after-school program. Tutors will help create a safe, positive environment where children can complete homework, build academic skills, socialize, and feel supported after the school day. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in their lives. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children throughout the after-school program. Assist students with homework, school assignments, and age-appropriate academic activities. Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring when students need additional help. Encourage good study habits, responsibility, and independence. Help students stay focused and provide encouragement when they become frustrated. Plan and assist with educational games, activities, crafts, and enrichment opportunities. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Follow all program safety, supervision, and child-protection policies. Communicate appropriately with the Program Director and other staff regarding student needs or concerns. Help with transitions, snack time, activities, cleanup, and dismissal. Monitor student behavior and address issues calmly and appropriately. Treat every child with patience, kindness, dignity, and respect. Support the values and mission of Gathered by Faith. Qualifications Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work well with children. Previous experience working with children, tutoring, education, childcare, or youth programs is preferred but not required. Must be patient, positive, and comfortable working with different ages and learning abilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with children. Must be willing to complete any required background checks, screenings, training, or documentation. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Schedule Monday-Friday Program hours:

2:00 PM-6:00 PM Tutors may be scheduled according to program needs and enrollment. What We're Looking For We aren't just looking for someone who can help with homework. Compensation Pay:
