As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting communities impacted by the Eaton Fire, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Education Foundation is partnering with schools in the Pasadena Unified School District to help students recover from learning loss. We are building a pool of passionate and empathetic tutors to provide flexible, as-needed academic support to elementary students in reading and math.Grade Levels:
Elementary (K-5)Subjects:
Reading and Math (occasional support in other subjects)Hours:
4-10 hours per week (may vary based on school need)Job Requirements:
- Complete required professional training sessions
- Provide small-group or one-on-one tutoring in reading and math
- Strong communication skills and patience with children
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and encourage student growth
- Assist in classroom settings to support teachers and students as needed
- Model and maintain high standards of professional conduct in alignment with Tzu Chi values
- Perform other duties as assigned
