Duties Provide targeted tutoring in key subjects such as English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, tailored to each student's learning style and needs Assist students with college readiness skills, including note-taking, organization, time management, and critical thinking strategies aligned with the AVID framework Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles and learning technology tools to enhance instruction Support students in understanding and applying academic content through online instruction platforms and interactive learning resources Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds, special education needs, and varying learning styles for maximum engagement and comprehension Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by managing behavior effectively and encouraging active participation among students of all ages Collaborate with teachers and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust tutoring approaches accordingly Support teachers and school staff in all aspects of student success Professional email etiquette and communication with colleagues Other duties as assigned Requirements Prior experience tutoring or teaching in academic subjects such as English language arts, mathematics, science, or social studies Strong knowledge of curriculum development techniques and familiarity with learning technology tools used for online instruction Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles and special education requirements Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students from various cultural backgrounds Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings or childcare environments Ability to plan engaging lessons that align with educational standards and promote critical thinking skills Familiarity with classroom management practices and experience working with students of different age groups including early childhood or preschool settings is a plus Join us as a
