Tutor Luminaris Learning Studio South Pasadena, CA Job Details Part-time From $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Spanish Teaching music Movement activities (creative arts teaching) Working with students Student-centered approaches (student motivation techniques) Teacher-directed learning Full Job Description Teaching at Luminaris Teachers do not need to create a curriculum from scratch. Our curriculum and lesson framework are provided by Mrs. Juno, Founder, Principal & Lead Teacher . Lessons are planned around the goals and progression of each group, while teachers are encouraged to contribute their own ideas, personality, creativity, activities, and teaching style. Our classes are interactive and student-centered. Spanish is taught through play, conversation, music, movement, dance, games, storytelling, projects, and hands-on activities , depending on the age and level of the students. We want teachers to follow the curriculum while still making the classroom feel like their classroom . Teacher Responsibilities Teachers are expected to: Arrive at least 10 minutes before class Prepare the classroom and materials before students arrive Teach approximately 90% in Spanish Follow the provided curriculum and lesson objectives Adapt activities when appropriate to meet students' needs Encourage participation without embarrassing or pressuring students Maintain a warm, respectful, and age-appropriate classroom environment Treat every student, parent, teacher, and staff member with professionalism and respect Provide regular feedback about student progress, challenges, and classroom dynamics to Mrs. Juno Communicate concerns promptly rather than waiting until they become larger problems Leave the classroom clean and organized exactly as it was found Keep their assigned teacher cubby organized Wear the Luminaris Learning Studio shirt while teaching or representing the studio Attend approximately one staff meeting per month , either in person or via Zoom Participate in our two student showcases/performances each year Support and represent the mission and educational philosophy of

From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 - 8.0 per week
