In this role, you will provide tailored instructional support, foster an inclusive learning environment, and help students achieve their academic goals. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to empower students through personalized teaching strategies and innovative educational techniques. Duties Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) and curriculum standards for students with special needs. Initially focused on middle school content, expectations are to deliver engaging instruction across subjects such as English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, adapting methods to accommodate various learning styles. Assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional approaches to ensure continuous improvement and mastery of skills. Support students' social-emotional development by fostering a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence. Collaborate with parents, special education staff, and other educators to coordinate support strategies and share student progress updates. Skills Strong background in curriculum development tailored to diverse learners' needs. Experience in tutoring English/Language Arts, mathematics, science, or other core subjects. Ability to adapt teaching methods based on individual learning styles. Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues effectively. Knowledge of special education practices, including working with students with disabilities or behavioral challenges. Experience in lesson planning, early childhood education, preschool settings, or childcare environments is highly valued.
