Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Exam Prep Tutor specializing in Reading, Writing to empower students in achieving their academic goals. In this role, you will utilize innovative learning technologies, and provide personalized tutoring to help students excel in standardized tests and coursework. Duties Utilize cutting-edge learning technology to create interactive lessons that enhance understanding and retention of complex topics. Deliver engaging tutoring sessions to students of all ages, including children, teens, and adults, ensuring clarity and confidence in subject matter. Implement effective management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment during individual sessions. Assess student progress regularly through quizzes and practice exams; adjust teaching strategies accordingly to maximize results. Provide detailed feedback on student performance and recommend additional resources or strategies for improvement. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, curriculum efforts, and student achievements to track progress over time. Experience Proven experience in tutoring or teaching ELA/Reading/Writing skills at various educational levels—high school through higher education—preferably with classroom experience. Familiarity with standardized test preparation such as SATs or ACTs. Proficiency with learning technology platforms and computer skills necessary for virtual or hybrid tutoring sessions. Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively while maintaining an energetic and motivating approach. Knowledge of management techniques suitable for both one-on-one tutoring and group settings.
