Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Elementary Teacher specializing in small-group tutoring to inspire and support young learners in their educational journey. Duties Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for elementary subjects such as English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Utilize learning technology and online instruction tools to create interactive and engaging lessons that cater to various learning styles. Provide small-group tutoring sessions that focus on core skills, including reading comprehension, writing skills, math proficiency, and science concepts. Adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education accommodations or working with children from different cultural backgrounds. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly to maximize learning outcomes. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and respect among students. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Proven experience working with children in classroom or tutoring settings, especially in elementary education. Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning across core subjects. Proficiency with learning technology platforms and online instruction tools. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively and collaborate with families and colleagues. Experience teaching math, English language arts, science tutoring, or SAT preparation is highly desirable.
